Pros
The company is transparent with its employees, starting in the recruiting process. Dew Wealth Management (DWM) disclosed salary and benefit information upfront, which was helpful when deciding whether to pursue this opportunity. Onboarding remotely comes with challenges regardless of the company, and DWM did okay in that aspect. Some of my favorite things about working here include the following: - Traveling to the HQ each quarter. I have been to the HQ twice; both have been positive experiences. The first time was my second week of work, and everyone, from Advisors, Operations, and Management, made me feel welcome. It is so much fun getting to connect with coworkers in-person. - Remote work, I never want to work in an office again. - I am doing work that challenges me. I work on projects requiring significant effort, creativity, and problem-solving skills. I have to push myself outside my comfort zone often, which is not a bad thing. If I am stuck, my supervisor is available to help develop a solution.
Cons
While my previous company offered significantly more PTO than Dew Wealth Management (DWM), I can work remotely from anywhere, which makes up for this small trade-off. I anticipate encountering challenges during my career at DWM, but I am confident these will not be deal breakers. When challenges or frustrations arise, I have faith that I can work with my supervisor to develop appropriate solutions.
