Small company with many growing pains.

Pros

The people are the best I have ever worked with. There is so much talent there it is incredible.

Cons

They are know for staffing up and the when money runs low they lay off the majority of the company. This has happen several times. There is no room for professional growth. Management is stuck in the 80’s on how to run a company. There is very little work/life balance. Their polices are old school. There is so much potential for this company to grow but they are stuck in that small business mentality that is hindering them.

Great Work / Life Balance

Pros

Depending on what team you're on, you can work on some pretty neat projects (virtual reality, aircraft simulation, flashy automotive displays). Significant overtime is rare for most employees I work with. Free coffee / expresso machine / free drinks. Pay + benefits seems to be pretty competitive. They've hired new engineering management that really cares about the culture / employees and has made some good progress in that area (e.g. relaxing the dress code). In general, I think the company is moving in a good direction.

Cons

Have to sign a 2 year NDA that covers the companies competitors around the area, though my guess is that management only cares about applying this to a more senior engineers in sensitive areas.
