Pros

- Salary - Compensation - Some of the benefits

Cons

- People without any competence act like experts. - People without any coding skills (except clicking through IBM & Microsoft apps) act like developers - Management act like they understand the business - People who actually have enthusiasm and expertise are looking for a new employer

Great colleagues, otherwise...

Pros

+ Great team spirit and friendly, highly skilled colleagues.

Cons

- Junior developers are not given enough guidance and left to figure things out on their own. - Middle management doesn't have time to take care of their teams. - No communication between teams, let alone different units. - Constant pressure to earn money for the company at the expense of individual learning paths, i.e., even though managers say its ok to use work time for learning, there is never an opportunity to do so. - Constant revolving door: new developers are hired but soon leave. This should make the bosses realize that something needs to change but no-one seems to care. - Bad salary and pay rises are not even discussed. - Outdated technologies.

Pros

- Relaxed and low stress working pace - flexible hours, especially when remote working - The term "nice" fits perfectly for colleagues. the atmosphere is comfy - Some of the colleagues are also very good at what they do -good place for juniors to get their basic experiences, before moving to competing companies -Dental extra benefit + nice extra insurance for private life that pretty much covers anything -top management know what they are trying to achieve and are good at it but...

Cons

-...but the middle management have lost their competitiveness and are just "working here". It feels like they lost the interest after transitioning from customer work to internal functions -Salaries have a lot of variation, if you negotiated your contract when in times of need (critical project lost its key dev) and got good starting level, good for you. But if you want to move forward from your position and get better compensation, good luck. your calls will be mostly for deaf ears (to the middle management). -not a place for the top performers -working devices are mediocre -a lot of variation in quality of colleagues professional skills, projects, processes and culture depending on what department you land on. the infamous "silos".
