A decent place

Pros

The projects have a fairly significant impact as a lot of their contracts come from the federal government, specifically the National Institutes of Health. Under the right circumstances, it is a good place to coast for 10 years.

Cons

Despite being fundamentally a software development company, upper management are mostly (all?) research scientists. Tech leads end up with an enormous amount of responsibility to bridge the gap between management and engineers. Whilst the engineers themselves are largely viewed as code monkeys.

Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting the meaningful impact of our work with federal agencies, including the NIH. At Digital Infuzion, we work at the intersection of biology, medicine, and technology, and our management reflects this multidisciplinary focus. We value innovation and believe that great ideas come from employees in all roles. We empower our Technical Leads with responsibility and autonomy to deliver impactful solutions, while also providing the support they need to succeed. We strongly value the contributions of our engineering teams—they are a core part of our innovation—and we take pride in maintaining a culture where all voices are valued and respected across every role. We appreciate your perspective and remain committed to supporting a collaborative environment where every team member can thrive.

Pros

If you are passionate about making difference in health care, this is the place for you. It is exciting to wake up every day with a sense of mission and work with colleagues who are smart and passionate about their work. Digital Infuzion has offered me the stability of a large corporation along with agility of a startup. Fun and charitable events are organized throughout the year to engage employees and have a positive impact on the community. We have a pretty flat organization structure here and that might be the reason why few people think they don't see a career growth path. The truth is if you demonstrate innovation and are a self-stater you don’t need a title to lead here. This also means more flexibility, you can always walk to your product owner and discuss an innovative tool or technology that you want to implement in your project. If you want to switch to a different technology or a project they are open about it. Overall, it has been a great experience working here.

Cons

Nothing that I can think of

Pros

Location is nearby if you're based in the rockville/gaitherburg area. They have a gym very closeby. The CEO is a driven and inspiring person. A lot of the upper level employees were very smart and good at their jobs.

Cons

Seemed like a good amount of people there were experienced, but not very good at their jobs. Cubicles
