Pros

Used to be a great company until the CEO decides to buy all the companies in the space, regardless if the product works.

Cons

Very disappointed for the last 2 years. What really caught my attention is the recent hate crimes against Asian Americans. Our CEO decides to send an email to all employees regarding how much he “cares” and in the same email has the audacity to say “in other diligent news” This is just so disrespectful given the recent deaths. This is only the surface on how the executive team operates. The leadership team here is a joke and they do not care about their employees. You’re just a number (ahem laying off everyone after purchasing a mansion on Miami)

Pros

Good work life balance and manageable workload

Cons

Where to begin? Company completely lost its soul. When I joined, there was a sense of comradery and team. After some senior leadership exits and the reorg - all that is gone forever. People care very little about their jobs now, and the only goal is to sell sell sell. Hitting unsustainable targets 80% of the company are new hires within the past year, they have no idea what is going on or the history of the products. Clients are definitely taking notice and sending cancellation notices. Def sinking ship, but senior leadership does not care. They do not even talk about cancellation % anymore, which was never before seen when I joined. They only pretend to care about ESG and DEII 'woke' movements. Get out when you have a chance before it is too late.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We’re glad to hear your appreciation for our commitment to promoting a sustainable work-life balance but are sorry to hear your other feedback and that it sounds like there is more we could have done to support you. We certainly appreciate how much change there has been as we’ve continued to strategically expand and evolve our business to drive even greater impact for our clients. The changes we have been making have been in direct response to feedback from both clients and teammates on how we can serve and support them even better. As we have continued to grow and scale our team, we have been investing in extensive onboarding, training and enablement to ensure our employees are fully knowledgeable about our expanded solution set as we grow our leadership position in the GRC space. At all levels of our organization, we make every effort to ensure all our employees are equipped to effectively fulfil their responsibilities to our clients and strive to create a supportive culture within our teams. We appreciate you taking the time to share with us your candid thoughts and hope you shared your feedback with the team while you were here – wishing you the best of luck with your next step. - Avigail Dadone, Chief People Officer

Pros

There are plenty of amazing people here. Could be a good opportunity depending on what you're trying to accomplish.

Cons

Trying to sell a platform of all separate products. Continuously acquiring companies without taking the time for proper integration of anything. Inconsistent career progression. Constantly restructuring which hinders a lot of customer relationships and makes everything more confusing. They only show appreciation for employees directly related to revenue. Very much a mindset of if someone from the executive team says to do something, it must be done, even if it's a complete waste of time. Very little rational logic to decision making and no accountability. Understaffed, underresourced, etc etc etc.

Thank you for sharing your candid thoughts with us. We certainly agree that the people at Diligent are some of the best and brightest. We are very sorry to hear your other feedback – in particular, your comments around our strategy and vision, as well as opportunities for career progression. Our recent strategic acquisitions have been in support of our long-term vision to be the market leader in governance, risk, compliance and ESG and to drive the greatest possible impact for our clients. Their needs are changing, which means that as an organization, we’ve also had to evolve our business, including our portfolio, so that we can best meet their needs. As we’ve done that, we appreciate how much change there has been – but we are confident the steps we have taken are positioning Diligent for long-term success. That benefits all our stakeholders, including our talented team. We want every teammate to feel challenged, valued, and rewarded, and we are really sorry to hear you haven’t felt that. We hope you will consider sharing ways we can better support you with your manager, a member of the leadership team, or HR, or anonymously if you prefer at HRconfidential@diligent.com. Thank you and we appreciate your continued service to Diligent. - Avigail Dadone, Chief People Officer
