Great people and awesome new products

Cons

CEO, Board and C-level management are coming up with products and features from the top of their heads. Yes, Diligent is another company implementing AI in their products because the board said so, not because there is an actual need for it. The CEO have a grand vision of creating a single platform for all of their applications (Boards, Audit, etc), without the actual market need for it. But at least it takes 70% of the engineering resources and going to take years.

Imagine your favorite TV character gradually going grey—Diligent is the corporate version of that. Senior management seems to love this concept: when something’s working smoothly, they decide it’s the perfect time to shake things up completely, forcing employees to unlearn and relearn repeatedly. Toxicity is practically a feature here, with team leads openly valuing those who sacrifice personal time for work. Unrealistic expectations, relentless deadlines, and constant change are the norm. They preach “customer first” yet prioritize metrics over actual customer satisfaction, showing just how deep the hypocrisy runs.
