Pros

The lure is the high hourly pay. Benefits are paltry, One hour of pto for 40 hours worked, No problem for six months, no sick days for six months. Health insurance is costly with exorbitant cost to the employee. If you are a racist you will be rewarded and your victims are gaslight and made to suffer regardless of what proof you have of claims of discrimination.

Cons

Perfect, Cons of Working at Dillard’s Fashionplace in Murray Ut. Toxic culture: Gossip, cliques, and cruelty are normalized instead of addressed. Management disengagement: Store and counter managers show little interest in employee well-being or growth. Favoritism: Rules and opportunities are applied inconsistently depending on who’s liked and who isn’t. Hostile environment: Personal tragedies (such as family deaths) were openly mocked, with no intervention from leadership. Lack of empathy: Miscarriage, medical issues, and legal obligations were met with indifference or punishment. Retaliation: Absences approved by management were later used against me with a write-up. No accountability: Concerns raised by employees go nowhere; leadership fails to address complaints. Pressure to “buy your own sales”: Employees are pushed to spend their own money to hit goals during GWPs. High turnover: Good employees quit because the culture is unbearable. Zero career development: Training is inconsistent

Pros

- Generous with samples - If you're on managements good side, you can get away with murder.

Cons

- Terrible management. They're millions in debt and will blame anyone but themselves. - Constantly being sued because of discrimination or treating employees awfully. - CEO is 85. - They are so behind industry standard and will never catch up. - Have witnessed open racism, fat shaming, calling people the r-word, verbal abuse, was physically threatened by a coworker, etc.

Pros

High pay comparatively to other middle management positions

Cons

-Leadership is through shame and threats. -They hate and are bad at training. If you can’t just “get it” they will get rid of you before teaching. -Coaching is negative- if you’re being coached, they want to get rid of you. -“Pressure is a compliment.” -More tasks than could be completed in 60 hours, much less 40. -Encouraged to “make examples” of associates as a solution to poor store morale.
