Pros

The money is good, you get to meet a lot of people.

Cons

Dillards doesn’t care about their employees. You can make the company 600,000 in 9 months of work but they won’t give you a raise in your review period. They allow toxic behaviors to fester by not holding anyone accountable so all of the good people who are decent end up leaving the company while the toxic people stay without consequence. Your job is to sell sell sell which wouldn’t be half bad if the customers returns were counted against the whole department instead of the employee who sold the item. The sales quotas are sometimes unreachable and after they complete your review with a $0 raise, what would motivate you to go above and beyond to make the company more money after that?! Everytime you call out sick they retaliate by making you work every saturday with 0weekends off.

Pros

Hour lunch Getting to do faces and practice makeup

Cons

Management heavily micromanaged You can’t do a full face of makeup if you don’t at least sale 3-5 products which are expensive. Yet people come to get their makeup done. The communication is horrible they told me I had to travel over an hour away for meetings but didn’t communicate that with me before the hiring process. Sales expectations and if you fail to meet them they treat you horribly! Lots of shady business that goes on there. High turnover Making you work non stop sometimes no off days in the same week! Which is illegal in some instances but they just want money. A lot more stuff but it’s too much to write.
