Pros

Fast-paced workplace, helpful coworkers and customers with high regard for the restaurant and food. Great resume builder. Training is in depth and about 7 days long. You'll never be completely alone without some type of help, if needed.

Cons

Can be too busy if you're not used to working in a restaurant with high turn over rates. In certain positions the job may be more stressful than others.

Pros

Fun, fast-paced environment with some of the best tips in the restaurant industry. Schedules are somewhat flexible, 95% of requested days off are honored as long as you don't take advantage. Strong opportunity for growth to server lead or management.

Cons

Cons of working at Din Tai Fung are honestly just the needy customers who don't understand wait times. They can be up to a couple hours or more.

Coworkers are great, easy to trade and ask for shifts, room for growth -- though usually only if managers liked you. Pay for a hostess is pretty decent, esp after getting tipped out

Cons

Guests are rude, strict and greedy management. Managers would get unreasonably angry at us if there was an open table
