Pros

Great benefits, excellent on-site fitness center, strong executive management, a lot of opportunity to move around company and learn new things. For the most part, a strong work/life balance company.

Cons

Most can only go so far. If you have previous work experience and move to Discover, there is limited mobility. Your previous experience will mean very little. Preference in every way is given to those that are put in the leadership programs out of college. The college kids will move right by you in a heartbeat, even though they have little experience.

Pros

The people focused environment, completion of business vision, co-workers and work life balance are among some of the top reasons I choose to stay with DFS.

Cons

IT agility too slow, IT leadership needs to bring in young blood, glean their ideas and energy while using the established talent to channel efforts towards the business goals.

Pros

Truthfully the only good thing about working for a company like Discover is their name, and you would think they are not going to be going out of business anytime soon. Question is, once they are done with you will you still have a job? Also, their benefits are good.

Cons

Well, I am sure you have all heard the phrase "you are treated like a number, and not a person". Well, this holds very true with this company, and unless you are at the top of the food chain good luck getting anyone in upper management to notice or for that matter even care about you.
