      Pros

      The agenda they have is the right one.

      Cons

      Shame they can't deliver on the agenda. The company is run by people that have not worked widely enough in payments. Whom do not understand the hurdles and just like to analyse something that does not exist. Understanding your customer or employees means nothing to them. That have been in their current jobs for 10 years. Therefore, Discover is all they know. The environment is very much if you face fits. I have never been in such a toxic environment in 15 years in Payments. I was told by a colleague that left before me that people leave for a reason in this place. The senior managers are your boss NOT a leader.

      Pros

      People are quite nice, pay is very competitive and it is an interesting sector to work in. You can tell that the very upper management team in the US is good, and the CEO gives a great impression.

      Cons

      Management in the UK is poor, and change is not handled very well. I don’t know whether UK based operations lack vision or just don’t communicate them clearly down the line. It feels like the management team in the UK live in a different world than the rest of us, they feel a bit disconnected. It’s telling that the US management team feels a lot more approachable...

      No pros I had while working here.

      Cons

      No perks which a product based company has. No work life balance. Will have to work in usa timezone. upper management is very laid back. no growth no hike provided. bad tech stack. no brand value in the UK. managed by managers in USA Clueless leadership limited resources in the UK not a company to join outside of the USA
