Pros

The people at Discover are what make the company great; laid back, encouraging and help you succeed should you fit the mold. However, management really holds the key as to who should move up and who should not. I do believe only a few managers have the empowerment to help with career trajectory. Others can be complacent. Relationships are extremely important and despite the kindness, politics usually plays the role. In terms of benefits, excellent PTO, beautiful campus and work-life balance given the right role. Compensation is below industry.

Cons

There is little room for upward mobility as there are many lifers. Many opportunities are lateral.

Pros

The campus is terrific. The facilities are wonderful. That is about it, I have nothing else to say.

Cons

This corporation does not care about their employees. They care about legalities and protecting senior management, not about taking care of PEOPLE.
