Pros
I've worked at a number of startups in Australia (including one that is now a unicorn) and can happily attest that Displayr is the best of the bunch. The main pros with working here are:
The Team:
The entire team at Displayr are amazing. Starting from the top, our CEO, Tim, is exactly the kind of person you want running a company: he is incredibly intelligent, hardworking, product-focused and compassionate. He is the kind of person who challenges and drives you, but also takes the time to show he genuinely cares for and respects you.
The management team here is also top notch - they're all very smart, experienced and lead by example. I love the overall management style that they've fostered here, namely no politics and zero micromanaging.
Honestly, everybody here is so friendly, humble and easy-going. My role here is cross-functional, so I interact with most people, and I have not had a single negative experience with anyone who works here - it's quite surreal.
The Perks:
The perks provided here are fantastic - we're get two weekly meals reimbursed, have flexible work arrangements and, my favourite, have a ton of team events. I've been here around 9 months, and in that time we've done go-karting, painting, picnicking, axe-throwing, fine-dining and more. On top of this, we have a monthly outing for work-drinks, weekly yoga classes and a weekly office-wide team lunch.
The Products:
Both Displayr and Q are world class products. I got to see this for myself - when I started here, my first week of on-boarding was all about getting to understand and use Displayr. It's incredibly powerful and robust. The best part is that Displayr has so much potential - it does something that nothing else does, specifically combining both analysis and reporting.
Cons
Us in the Sydney office recently moved to Pyrmont. This may be a slight hassle to get to if you're used to the CBD area. The new office is very nice though.
