Great Place to Work - Smart People and Innovative Products

Pros

Good working environment with open communication across teams. You can learn a lot from your colleagues, including the CEO, who are always willing to help if you are stuck on something. The products are always evolving and you know that you have direct influence in improving the software and the company. Flexible work from home options as well.

Cons

Due to covid, there haven't been many opportunities to get together in-person on a regular basis, but hopefully that will change.

Pros

- Nice people at lower levels - To a degree, there's understanding that the codebase is complex and things can take time - Pay is a little above average - The occasional get-togethers are refreshing

Cons

- A brownfield project with no appetite to modernise, it's all about new features and numbers for next quarter - Your commit numbers will be counted - The company is not very large, but the approach to staff management in engineering definitely reminded me of large public company (think stack ranking) - Attrition in engineering was the highest I've seen in my entire career

Nothing is too hard when it comes to looking after their team. They celebrate work anniversaries and have monthly team-building activities also have weekly team lunches for those of the team that works remotely.

Cons

There is no con to working with Displayr
