The people are the best thing about DCI. It's the "Google" of Tallahassee. Free lunch, lounging areas, gym, kitchen, DCI knows how to keep employees comfortable and happy. Team-oriented work environment.
Fantastic management who really pay attention to the needs of employees. High operating budget, so lots of room for ideas. Lots of creative freedom. Real world work experience for interns- no getting coffee. Speaking of coffee- fantastic coffee, kitchen, snacks, and free lunch catered everyday. Interns are really treated like part of the team.
Cons
This is basically a part time job rather than an internship. Which is AWESOME, but just know what you're getting into.
Relaxed office setting and agile development practices, cool people, food catered in for lunch. Lots of people in the office get involved in a sports team, too.
Cons
Slow adoption to newer infrastructure / stack. This isn't bad if you like working with Java or Python, but it does mean that the latest thing is usually not going to fly.
