Great place to work!

Pros

They pay EMTs and Medics well compared to other ems companies. The only down side is they don’t want working a lot of overtime especially when it is slow, but you don’t need over time to make a decent paycheck here. If you have a issue or idea management is good about listening to what you have to say and either fixing it or explaining why it is the way it is. It’s a different kind of company so I think people have a hard time coming from other ems companies. There very technologically based and don’t respond to 911 calls. It’s a great place to start your ems career or even make it your career if your not stuck on running 911.

Cons

Being new in Colorado it can be a bit slow but I imagine will change very quick and will end up being a very busy place. A lot of people work a every other day schedule and can make life difficult for some people. I think that will change as well the more the company grows. There is no programs for recertification for emt or cpr so you have to keep up on that on your own. There is no FTO program.

Pros

Cutting edge equipment Transparency between management and staff makes for very comfortable interactions. They are always looking out for their medics, and will go to bat for us when we need it. Very good pay rates for all staff. Upward mobility for those who want to climb the ranks.

Cons

There are no retirement benefits currently available to Ambulnz Colorado employees. It would be nice if in the future, the company would cover the cost, or offer reimbursement for the cost of re-certifications essential to the job, i.e. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ITLS, etc...

Pros

With over time the pay is not bad. Very easy job.

Cons

Never get off on time so don’t make plans. You should know this as an EMT anyways.
