Pros

They always need people and if you ace the interview 9/10 they will hire you on the spot. Everyone in the office in NY is super friendly and are willing to work with you if you are with them. I was in Dispatch, one of the first people on the team & Gary who is the dispatch manger was the best. (I hope he is still there). He always wanted to know more about you as a person and make the office more homely. (You work 12 hour shifts, so it better be homely). They provide healthy snacks and NYC food is the best for a quick bite. Also there is so much potential to move up but you definitely have to dedicate ALOT of your time if you want to move up. The best thing is ANTHONY (the bald one) is a MAJOR BABE. Good Eye candy. Honestly its not the worst job if you are single, have ambition, a good listener and knowledge of what you are doing. You will DEFITILY succeed. #GoAmbulnz

Cons

To be nice when I was there the rules changed almost everyday and some people were not the best at communicating with the team. Working with the Cali office was difficult. I guess they felt more entitled because it came off that way. Most of the EMTS are great but a few will ruin your day with there attitude. The training was not the best at all. They need a manual and a good week to two weeks of training and learning as much as you can about the company. It is a tad difficult but as long as you pay attention after a while it will come naturally. However if you are lost you can ask questions but keep in mind the answer might change by the end of the day. There is no official lunch break. You can go out and get food but come right back and go to your desk and eat because your work doesn't stop if your not there, your other coworker has to pick up the work as well as there work. Lastly the hours was the killer for me. I was working 12 hour shifts for 5 days every week. I agreed to 3 day a week but they some what guilt you into working 5. The pay is ok, it gets the bills paid. ......You better have a GOOD reason why you have to call out of work. (Maybe a doctors note from God)

Pros

Ambulnz is not your run of the mill private EMS agency. They are the future of Private EMS. Integrating technology, Innovation and Industry experts with years of experience they are leading the way in patient care, response times all while offering higher pay than any other private EMS agency in NYC to it's employees. while other companies pay EMT's less than your average fast food worker Ambulnz offers higher pay rates to it's employees. Which is something that is long overdue. Why should the person making your fries and burger make more than those who have the training, knowledge and experience to care for your loved ones if they require emergency medical attention.

Cons

The only negative thing I can say about Ambulnz is that because they are one of the best and largest EMS agencies in California most people do not know they have arrived in NYC and are here to make a positive change to NYC private EMS. As word gets out about the professionalism, expertise in caring for patients and state of the art technology backing them up I have no doubt they will be an industry leader in Private EMS in NY.

Pros

The people are great in my department, we all had different but similar roles in the field and all believe in this startup.

Cons

The immense pressure to please not only higher ups but essentially every direct client we serve with limited resources non-stop creates the 'over-it' feeling.
