Pros

- Good career-starting job. There's a lot to learn about the banking industry and they will teach you. - Good, honest, hard-working people at the branch level. - Conservative (stable)

Cons

- Compensation package is terrible compared to competitors - Advancement is very political in nature. Not always based on performance, but moreso who they like and don't like. - Very sales heavy approach with no incentive for hitting goals. On the flip side, distain for not hitting goals. - Technologically inept

Pros

Great atmosphere and friendly coworkers. Rewarding jobs and ability to take on new tasks/responsibilities. No commission, base salary despite your ability to sell products.

Cons

Advancement to headquarters is limited, you have to be with the bank for 1 year. Pay is lower than other banks without reward for high emphasis on sales. Very standardized procedures/little room for creative processes.
