Post Termination and Hiring blues

Pros

it was good to start, simple work and I got to get used to some customers. I had multiple opportunities to move up but didn't like how I got trained last time so I kept my cashier position.

Cons

No raises if you kept your cashier position as I had been making minimum wage from the start from 2017 ish to 2025, the rotation of managers was kinda rough but it was easy to get along but I experienced a bad one at the end. They will write you up for every minor infraction. also they still have my paychecks? I haven't been paid for the last 3 weeks from termination.

Dollar Tree Cashier

Pros

Easy to Get Hired Entry-level position with minimal requirements — good for first jobs or building retail experience. Flexible Scheduling Part-time hours and flexible shifts can work well for students or those needing a second job. Simple, Predictable Tasks Duties are straightforward: running the register, stocking shelves, assisting customers.

Cons

Low Pay Typically near minimum wage; raises and advancement opportunities can be limited. High Workload for Few Staff Stores often run with minimal employees, meaning cashiers may also clean, stock, and manage returns simultaneously. Repetitive Tasks Work can be monotonous, especially during slow periods.
