Pros

Car. Write own schedule. Stock purchase program.

Cons

Overworked. Underpaid. Staff underpaid. Freight flows out of control to stores. No chance to write orders or adjust product levels. Unsafe with low moral.

Pros

RSU Grant, Annual Bonus, Flexible schedule

Cons

This is by far the worst job I have ever had. Fellow HR Pros - the HR Manager position is more akin to an Administrator or Generalist role. Heavy on data entry, investigations, busy work, COVID tracking, and compiling data from individual roll ups. Because of this, you will work around the clock to keep up. There are zero recognition or engagement programs, and if you want to give any sort of recognition for birthdays, anniversaries, etc, you better be willing to pay for it out of your own pocket. Drastic inconsistencies across the board in terms of practices and policies not being followed. Leadership amongst managers (from store manager to regional director) is abysmal. HR Leadership is embarrassing. There are a few select HR Leaders who are trying to change the company direction and culture. Unattainable goals and objectives, heavy (and I mean HEAVY) turnover in all roles, from stores to corporate. Above all, the way this company treats it's associates is disgusting. Zero people of color in executive roles. Few women in leadership roles. Excessive executive rewards (millions in RSUs, bonus, company jet) while people in the stores are making minimum wage. Complete disregard for the safety of 99% of its workforce.

Pros

All you have to do is unload a truck once a week and place items on a shelf correctly and in an organized way.

Cons

These type of low end retail jobs usually have Lazy managers who try to hire a bunch of teenagers so that they can over work them.on top of that they also hire too many people so you’ll go through weeks or months or forever where you only get 2 days of work.I know a friend who worked at family dollar and was only coming in once a week for a $60 check. You’ll be living off a check. Unless your manger isn’t a hoodlum, oh and the mangers love to sit in the office all day.Tell you to work and avoid telling you all your task for the day instead tell you what task is next after your done so that by time it’s clock out they can ask you to stay extra.
