Pros

Dollar Tree is a good company to work for if you have a good crew in the store. A good crew keeps things going good and everything works like a fine oiled machine.

Cons

Downsides to working there are the lack of hours. Dollar Tree is too cheap to have people full time yet they expect you to keep a flexible schedule which keeps finding a second job difficult at best. They also don't reset the assessment for asst manager or manager so if they don't like what you have to say you will never advance in the company. Most places reset the assessment every 6 months to a year, bit Dollar Tree goes against the norm in this respect. They tend to not care much about their loyal employees either considering everyone replaceable so the treat them like dirt.

Pros

Supportive co-workers, always something to do, get first pick of new products, fun, some friendly customers, good place to work if you wanna pay small bills here and there.

Cons

Not enough work hours, ungrateful customers, low pay, very messy, little products on the shelves, inventory always packed.

No proper training

Pros

Flexible hours available to employees

Cons

No proper training , was trained by every employee Of course everyone did it their own way. The Management team didn’t work like a team should together ,instead they would make 1-2 of the 4 managers at my store over work while the other two just hung out in the office and walk around the rest of the day. Punishment was put on random people and never on the people who actually broke the rules/procedures. There was never any consequences to someone’s actions. Only one register was open and if we got lucky we would get maybe a second one . It would lead to us having one register open with 20+ unhappy customers on a very busy night. Never had time to sweep/Mop the floor at the store so we would always have filthy floors.
