The Pay and Benefits are okay. Dominion has offices all across the United States in several different divisions so you can find them almost everywhere. There are some good and talented people left in the company which I hope will hang on until after the sale.

Cons

The days of receiving bonuses are gone due to the current economy. There is little advancement within Dominion and they are not very ethnically balanced or even balanced between genders. It is the typical good old boys group promoted up through the ranks even if they are not the best for the job. We have been up for sale twice in the last 4 years and have been on the market this last time since January with no buyers yet in sight.

The only thing keeping me at DE is the money. If it wasn't for that, I would have been gone years ago.

Cons

Management is very closed minded and give off a definite corporate feel. They are more about heirarchy than teamwork, and all they care about is getting their own bonuses. They could care less about employees or customers. And when it comes to needing time off for personal reasons, you can expect a serious guilt trip, and more often than not, they will make you take vacation... even if it's for a funeral of a family member!!

Pros

Dominion Enterprises is a large and varied work environment. There are thousands of employees of all backgrounds and technical proficiency. I believe it can be a great place to expand your professional network, and pick up new skills.

Cons

The company is large and out of touch with modern pay scales and work processes. We are focused on our internet products, but I get the sense that senior management doesn't use the web. Our products feel dated and our software design methods are behind the times. There is the mentality of "fix it now and fix it cheap" rather than planning for the future and building a stable product or processes to ensure the success of our future business.
