Pay is decent at $22.00/hr

Cons

Poor employee support structure. The only concern for management is the bottom line (meeting quota). Retention Rate for canvassers is very low, considering we are located in Michigan and working conditions in the winter are terrible.

Pros

If you can figure out the magical combination of words to talk people into donating, you can make a living wage.

Cons

The management was awful. The training was useless. The advertised wages were a joke unless you were a canvassing wizard. There was no support, no flexibility, and almost no room for a bad week.

Welcoming and positive work environment. Directors will work with your schedule, and encourage a healthy work/life balance. Pay is very decent compared to other positions that require little experience or entry level.

Cons

Burnout will happen eventually. Working in the elements and consistently being told "No" can become daunting.
