Pros

I have really enjoyed my role as an Account Executive. Training was very thorough and I have been successful in my first couple of months. The company has a great company culture and a huge plus is that they are extremely transparent when it comes to what's happening in the office or company as a whole. Perks and benefits are great, very typical for what I've seen with start-ups. I'm always learning from my peers and my managers. I really do feel like management cares about developing our career and us as individuals. The energy and support system in the office is awesome.

Cons

As an AE, you'll need to be able to juggle a ton of tasks at once. There's a lot of knowledge and organization behind balancing the sale and account management, but the grind is definitely worth getting paid out for it.

I'm Lucky to Have This Job

Pros

Above all else, the reason I love this company is because of the people. I could be digging holes for a living - as long as I love the people I do it with, I'm going to have a good time. Between school, athletics , previous jobs, etc, I've never been on a team with such incredibly smart and talented people who I truly enjoy working with day in and day out. We're given complete autonomy to accomplish our goals, experiment and are subsequently rewarded on merit. We're having a tangible, real impact on local economies and interfacing with our drivers, merchants and customers on a daily basis brings that to life. I'd recommend DoorDash to anyone.

Cons

Working for a rapidly growing startup is more than a full-time job. Hours are long and there's no such thing as a defined set of responsibilities. Things change fast and you have to be extremely adaptable to be successful here.

Pros

- Able to choose what you work on and tailor projects to your interests - Ability to make an impact - tons of features to be worked on and you can really make a difference in the product and user experience - Engineering-driven culture - while the company has an operational aspect to it, it really is a technology company that sees improving the product as the path to success. Engineers are first class citizens and employees are always thinking about how improvements to the product will make it easier for non-tech parts of the business to succeed - Analytics-driven growth - the company is meticulous about metrics and analytics and is very transparent about current goals and progress as well as where improvements can be made. - No project managers means that engineers get to talk to customers, merchants, and drivers to determine the scope of features and figure out what the company needs most - Engineering culture is good despite the average age of the employees being relatively young - Free meals at work

Cons

- Benefits are good but not great
