Not a good job to do while college

Pros

The cons of this job were that they hire you even if you have no experience. It is good if you wanna start a job without experience to get something to put in your CV.

Cons

Very very hard job and very stressfull since sometimes you could be serving to 800 people. Some of the managers are not nice. You never get tips unless you work in the bar, so, you are doing the same job as a waitress but getting no tips at all. The worst for me also was the timetable, finishing sometimes at 5am, working 12 hours many times. It's not a good job if you wanna convine it with college.

Pros

The position: Diverse array of tasks and interactions throughout the organisation Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager (great Manager!) Increasing responsibilities and duties The organisation: Great work atmosphere, very savvy coworkers and managers that generated loyalty Very multinational team (and that's just fascinating!)

Cons

Franchise hotel (owners were an external company), hence budget cuts that were greatly affecting the organisation (particularly in terms of workforce) Industry is quite reactive, and sometimes (unfortunately) short-sighted. Decisions that fixed today's problems were consistently a cause of tomorrow's fallouts. This and the hiring restrictions became a source of frustration across the team. Position's cons: tasks became repetitive and little job progression ahead
