Management: Doesn't care about operations staff AT ALL Refuse to help with goals and career growth Blatant deception and favoritism Verbally ask you to break procedure, yet refuse to put anything in writing (to protect yourself)

Pros

Some really good people, good pay, good benefits. A very diverse work force and variety of backgrounds. Many different schedules and shifts to chose from.

Cons

Bad management, job is boring, no room for advancement unless you have an engineering degree. Only way to get in is through temporary employment which may or may not lead to full-time employment.

Pros

Salaries are decent, by comparison to other plants. Very safe work environment, and it is expected that all safety rules are followed.

Cons

Traffic trying to get to DOW LAO from Baton Rouge or Lafayette area is awful. With the uber-safe work environment, comes plenty of policies, procedures and expectations.
