      Pros

      Some really good people, good pay, good benefits. A very diverse work force and variety of backgrounds. Many different schedules and shifts to chose from.

      Cons

      Bad management, job is boring, no room for advancement unless you have an engineering degree. Only way to get in is through temporary employment which may or may not lead to full-time employment.

      Too many group decisions made by green new employees

      Pros

      I worked in R&D and it was fun working with prototype and experimental projects.

      Cons

      They are trying to push 6 Sigma philosophy down everyone's throat to the point you can't even make rudimentary decision without a group agreeing to it. Problem is, some occasions it's like having 6 janitors make engineering decisions.

      Salary, pension, medical benefits, smart co workers, helpful coworkers

      Cons

      Managers in roles way too long. After five years it's time to move on. Stagnant organizations, lacking diversity of thought by excluding external hires. lack of stimulating projects. Why so many Fellows who stay in their offices only answering to executive leaders.
