I've genuinely loved working at Dragos. It's one of the few companies where people are trusted to act like professionals. The expectations are high, but the company gives just as much in return through autonomy, support, and opportunities to grow. I've been fortunate to work alongside some incredibly smart, talented, and genuinely kind people who are passionate about the mission. The culture strikes a great balance between accountability and respect, and it's refreshing to be part of an organization that invests in its people while challenging them to do their best work.

Cons

As a newer employee, I haven't encountered many downsides yet. Like any high-performing organization, there's a steep learning curve, but there are plenty of knowledgeable people willing to help.

Pros

Leadership team, including CEO, are awesome humans. They take care of their employees in ways I've seen seen from a medium-sized company (100s of employees). The mission is real, everyone here believes in it. It's a genuinely friendly place with talented people. Growth outlook is *very* good.

Cons

The dev processes are pretty high friction, sometimes for good reasons and sometimes for bad reasons. Some days it feels like I spend all day just cutting through administrative or technical red tape to get a single thing merged. It's getting better, but it's still pretty painful. CI/DevOps is under-invested, maintained by a very small team with the support of various hero engineers.
