Pros

the people and teams are very good and help make it a good pace to work- the talent is amazing and the projects are great. the campus is a nice place to work, they do feed you lunch and do give amazing swag - art books and amazing crew gift sculptures for many of the projects being worked on.

Cons

however, allot of work on most DWA projects are being worked on by companies in other countries. job security for many employees is not the best - in the past few years the demand for faster, cheaper, high quality work with the uncertainty of your next project looming over the horizon can make it a stressful place to work,

Pros

* Catered breakfast and lunch. * Beautiful manicured campus. * Artistic environment like working in an art gallery.

Cons

* Very few opportunities for advancement. * Nepotism trumps merit; the most successful people are not rewarded while the friends of managers are given multiple chances to fail and promoted regardless. * Outdated software development tools and practices outside of the CGI domain; they'll recruit experts for rendering, simulation and special effects but trust film majors with architecting a production pipeline.

Pros

Stable position for the most part. Layoffs are rare. Not uncommon for people to stay there for 10+ years. Great culture, very nice collaborative artists and production.

Cons

Low pay compared to competitors. Lack of opportunity to advance very few leads/supes ever leave or quit. Company works with old proprietary software that is difficult to learn and harder to work with.
