Pros

Fun job, great people at the dealerships to work with, and a pretty decent benefit package. Overall, it is a good company, and some corporate managers actually care about their employees, but they are few and far between.

Cons

Very little work life balance, especially during tax season. Expect to put in 50+ hours mid April - mid January and during tax season, mid January - mid April, you will pretty much live at the dealership. Compensation is average, but one should never divide their compensation by hours worked....You will not like the results.

First, thanks for the time you've spent at DriveTime so far and giving us your transparent feedback here. We do sincerely appreciate it. We know that our busy season puts an additional demand on our employees, especially those at the dealerships. We have been piloting flexible scheduling and work-from-home benefits in some regions and hope that makes a difference in our employee's work and life balance. Please feel free to discuss these obstacles with your GM or call our Speak Up line to provide feedback, we'd love to hear how we can continue to improve.

Providing an optimal work and life balance is important to us. Over the past year we have introduced telecommuting, flex scheduling and four-day work weeks - depending upon your position within the company. Please discuss these options with your manager, or call our Speak Up line. We're glad to hear you like our culture and please don't hesitate to continue to provide us feedback.

Pros

Inexpensive, comprehensive, excellent, Insurance coverage, matching 401k, good amount of paid time off/vacation early in career.

Cons

Work load changes based on volume/needs, requires 6 days per week in peak demand or when production quota was not met. Upper management flip flops on direction, sometimes on a daily basis
