Pros

Very fun place to work getting to meet customers and help them get into cars where at a traditional dealership, they would have issues. The pay is excellent but require a lot of attention to detail. If you are interested in being around cars and learning the car sales business, Drivetime in the place.

Cons

The career path to promotion is very inconsistent and difficult to understand what it is that Drivetime want out of their top and most loyal people. Executive leadership and inside the dealership lack the direction and leadership to keep the team motivated. There are also evident promotion or people that lack the skills and leadership skills to lead.

The growth and development of our employees is large part of our culture. While we understand that the timeline to Leadership is not always defined, it is important to us to recognize talent and to provide that opportunity. We are disappointed to hear that was not your experience and appreciate the feedback.

Pros

Dealership Family, autonomy in the work place

Cons

When I first started with the company, it was definitely a great environment. You could see that the company really cared about their employees. Tax time was the best time to work, forget about work life balance. Most recently, the company has been taking a turn for the worst. Letting people go left and right to save money; hiking sales budgets up and lowering dealership lead counts; and demoting Sales Managers that rightfully earned their positions (in order to save money again). I really liked my job, but I had to leave. Change that did not make sense and affected many peoples pockets and livelihood. The company just spoke lie after lie, email after email, to the people that invested 10-12 hours of their life for a “used to be” good company.

We are happy you had a great experience regarding the autonomy and relationships that are built at our dealerships! While we are always striving to improve, we understand that with that comes change which can present challenges. We are committed as a company to overcome new challenges in order to continue to be a leader in the automotive industry. Thank you for your feedback.
