Pros

I love my flexibility in my schedule! The ambiance and aesthetic is amazing. My managers always keep a great line of communication with the stylists.

Cons

Sometimes we don't get tips and that can be discouraging.

Pros

I was lucky enough to be placed in a location where we ALL get along and have a great time while at work. We've all hung out outside of work because we genuinely like each other. Blessed enough to work in a beauty salon where the unthinkable happens, which is mutual love and respect for one another. I also met my two best friends at my location that I would take a bullet for. That is not the case in other shops from what I've heard from current employees in other NY locations. Also an express salon such as Drybar is great for building your clientele. And whenever someone comes in and requests you consistently, give them your personal information and you can come to them or they can come to you and you can freelance on the side. There is also a lot of flexibility within the company (hopefully you have a manager that allows you to be flexible with your days).

Cons

UPPER MANAGEMENT. Everyone from managers and up to the top of the totem pole (INCLUDING HR) are all incompetent. For the minimum wage that we get paid, we should not have to put up with a company that does not have the stylists back. Breaks have to be fought for, rude and disrespectful clients are taken better care of than the employees, and as stylist our hands backs, and feet constantly hurt and we are made to ignore and continue pumping out clients (sometimes havingto rush through and not give 100% to our clients because of constant over booking. Members in management are lazy and do not want to step in to help when we are running behind due to overbooking. You never once leave your shift when you are supposed to. The turnover rate is insane because people are constantly quitting. that alone should state more than enough. As of right now, most of the staff (9 bartenders and stylists off the top of my head, including myself) are currently looking for new jobs. Me personally, when I get a new job, I will not be giving in 2 weeks and wll just quit on the fly because that is more of a courtesy than I have ever gotten from this company.
