Pros

Good for someone out of beauty school. Opportunity for growth. Flexible schedule. Become familiar with other hair textures. Meet lifelong friends. 5 years get 100 shares in the company.

Cons

No breaks. When its slow, breaks become magically “mandatory” they open new shops and forget the old ones. Staff retention sucks. They found some tax loophole where instead of giving us the minimum wage, they take it from out tips to even it out. Some bartenders were stealing tips from stylist and we were NOT reimbursed.

Long shifts, no breaks, 2 hour drive time unpaid mileage, require you to sign break waiver and work doubles, very discriminatory upper management, do not provide proper accommodations in accordance to ADA law, training felt more like hazing
