DELETE THE BUTTERCUPS.

Pros

Love working with the stylists. Free blowouts. 50% OFF products and tools.

Cons

1. Although most of the stylists are nice and understand its not your fault that they don't get a break or have to do clients back to back, there will be days when they will choose to hate you. 2. So tired of this buttercup situation, wouldn't it be better if we could just give a client their appointment and make sure she's taken on time instead of blaming the stylists for not doing 15-minute blowouts AND styling? 3. Management is horrible. They don't care. They'll only listen once you call HR at least a couple of times. 4. The manager is just there to be the face, someone the client can scream at but has absolutely no say as to who they hire or fire. 5. They will hire pretty much anyone. I mean it... 6. High expectations of the shop in general, they pay very little to have us be maids. 7. When the DM comes over, we're supposed to feel nervous when in reality they probably wouldn't be able to handle the shop on a Saturday with 4 buttercups open. I would LOVE of the DM's to come and actually work a Saturday same as the other stylists with us rushing them to take clients and then explain to them what's happening.

Pros

-Fast growing and exciting company to be a part of -Discount on products -Growth but only for a very small percentage -Clients and employees are great if operations are run properly

Cons

Corporate shops are run like sweat shops and it is unfair to both employees and clients. Ever since implementing "opening the books" the quality of service and customer service aspects that the company was built on have gone downhill. When opening the books and squeezing more clients in, you are creating a chaotic environment for your employees where you are constantly understaffed and running behind. This also creates an environment where labor laws are constantly violated with employees not being allowed to take any breaks. Customers are frustrated with the wait times which adds even more pressure on the stylists, receptionists, and manager as they all have to intervene to alleviate customer frustrations on wait times. Senior management needs to actually look at these glassdoor reviews and make changes before its too late. If numerous reviews are saying "sweatshop", something is clearly wrong. Its not just a small number of disgruntled employees venting.
