Not worth the pay

Pros

Free blow outs at your own shop

Cons

The company culture needs alot of work. Stylists make minimum wage and are on their feet all day. It's like hauling cattle, non stop, one client after the other. The fact that a shop does not have control over their books is ridiculous. District managers will leave their books open so whether a shop has 3 stylists for a day, the books will be open so clients can book more than 3 stylists at a time. This created a stressful environment for the front desk to have to explain to a client that we overbooked and now they have to wait.

Pros

Great place to begin. Semi Consistent pay. Great for new stylists. Great for people looking to fill gaps in their schedules with other work. Opportunities for promotion. Nearly impossible to get fired. Their 401k plan is pretty good deal if you take advantage of it.

Cons

Horrible hourly. They allow bad hairdresser habits to persist which reinforces bad habits therein making horrible hairdressers. They claim they will give you a raise based on product sales and reviews which is a bold faced lie. Promotions give unequal pay raise in exchange for added duties/responsibilities. For what a real hairdresser makes at an actual salon this is chump change. SUPER CULTY.
