Professional progression is slow (averaging 12-15 years between mid-career promotions for good performers), and professional training/development is rarely supported if it involves overseas travel. Frequent downsizing efforts. Despite being a science company, they lack investment in IT across businesses. Very risk adverse sometimes to the detriment of being decisive when needed. Aging work population and slow to hire and retain and turnover business knowledge to younger recruits.
