Pros

good pay, great paid vacation that accumulated quickly, decent benefits.

Cons

Slowly became less and less interested in R&D and the process of good effective research. Promotions became very political and less merit based. Morale feel off as time went on.

Pros

Endless career paths. If you perform well in your current job and properly network with other functions, there are always opportunities to move around and gain experience with different roles. It can be subjective, but all of the managers I reported to while working for DuPont were good-to-great. Competitive salary for most roles.

Cons

Business processes were always outdated. Decision making was slow and often required too many levels of approval. Culture wasn't great, especially at production sites. "Us vs them" attitude common. HR leadership seemed disconnected from actual workforce. Early and mid-career technical role salaries are low if you do not hold an advanced degree. Careers away from company HQ can feel disconnected from business strategy/company vision.
