Pros

Lots of work with overtime. Not a lot of drama on jobsites, everyone seems to work together and gets along. Office employees have zero problems coming out and getting dirty with you if needed. Listens to employee input and ideas. Will work around your personal schedule should you need or want time off. Decent wages and benefits. More responsibility is available if you want to take it on. Good place to learn a trade.

Cons

Nothing out of the ordinary. Typical construction cons that plague all construction companies. It's hot, it's cold, it's raining, I'm tired. Its construction and it takes place outside in all types of weather.

Pros

Compensation is fair, well respected in the industry, good people at the peer and field level

Cons

Poor leadership, very little support at the project level, organization and hierarchy is a major issue, outdated policies & procedures, very resistant to change/improvement, not open to employees about work pursuits or executive level initiatives etc. No training whatsoever, very very cheap. Overall morale of employees is consistently low

Opportunities for growth but stretched thin

Pros

Health insurance is very affordable. There is opportunity to move up if you are willing to travel. Pay is higher because the workload and expectations are high. There were some strong managers who helped with employee development, but they are now stretched too thin.

Cons

Priorities change a lot, so it can be hard to keep up. Processes get changed often and not always explained well. It feels like hiring new people is a bigger focus than keeping experienced workers. The company has grown fast, but shared knowledge hasn’t kept up. More focus is put on output and vague policy than on employee well-being. More about speed and volume than craftsmanship.
