Pros

- 20% premium for working in cardiac - You will learn SO much. If you can be good here, you can be amazing at any hospital in NC - money to be made with all the call. - Clinical ladder - Mission Trips

Cons

- Horrible work life balance. Transplants, ECMOs, etc. Its not uncommon to work 15 hours straight on a weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes its all through the night. Ruined my sleep schedule and made me less emotional present for my actual life. - Burnout - recently lowered call pay, and becoming strict with working OT.
