Business Outlook
Pros
Duke has a nice pedigree associated with it, and the exorbitant cost of undergraduate tuition affords some nice resources. For me the best part was access to the alumni network and spectacular individuals that work there. As a researcher it was good to have access to all of the campus resources.
Cons
Pay is not great. Post-docs have limited benefits that are common for staff and people working in industry, such as being paid out vacation days and a retirement account. Also, parking is a nightmare (when there isn't a pandemic).
