Pros

I was very happy with my experience working as a Clinical Research Specialist at the Duke Integrative Medicine. I was given a lot of respect, honesty, and loyalty while I was there and it was a very supportive environment.

Cons

At the time, they were in the middle of a transition to new leadership, so there was some turnover but that has drastically slowed down at this point and is not an issue at all anymore. Also, the pay was OK but not as competitive as other organizations.

Pros

Kind, teaching hospital, Great place to learn, Very competitive pay for RN's in the RDU area, many growth opportunities, Big name that translates well when transitioning to a different job, flexibility

Cons

Weekend requirements for most positions, NCA pay was not very competitive, Hard to get hired as a new grad RN unless you already have your foot in the door or know someone.
