Pros

Teamwork and genuine care about patients from most employees Pay is competitive for the state average, but other companies can beat it Employees self schedule, so there's great schedule flexibility- which is great if you're taking classes Heavily promotes career advancement, (higher certifications, degrees, etc.) Recruiter was very supportive when hired. She said that if I tried out my unit and didn't think it was a fit, she would work with me to find a spot in another unit. Luckily I loved my unit!

Cons

Duke Raleigh does not hire NAIIs, which is leading to a lot of NAIs to look elsewhere for professional development Each unit has their own personality- make sure you ask about unit culture during your interview. After floating to other units, I could say with confidence that I would not still be working here if I had ended up on certain other units

Pros

The campus is beautiful and there are decent lunch options

Cons

Parking is a joke. If you don't have an masters or higher, the management treat you like peasants.
