Pros

compensation package, variety of work, opportunities to learn, team members who care about patient care and creating a positive culture

Cons

C-Suite and above leadership would rather talk about how great Duke is rather than affect positive changes. None are willing to empower their teams, nor risk sticking their necks out. Diversity, equity, and inclusion programs are performative only. No room for career development. The "good 'ole boy" system is alive and well.

Pros

Benefits are competitive, but not salaries.

Cons

No support from management, hiring staff of questionable qualifications, unorganized policies and procedures, difficult to get approved time off, insufficient training of new hires. Duke labs used to be respected for its high quality work, but the quality of the Microbiology lab has degraded in the last 6 years. It is a very chaotic work environment.
