Pros

Great place to work. There plenty of opportunities for further growth from the university; educationally and for personal development.

Cons

Nothing really. But the university system is spread out and if you are working off campus you miss out on a lot of things happening on campus or have to spend more time to get there.

Pros

Decent health benefits, tuition reimbursement, pride in the Duke name, 403(b) retirement plan (but no company matching), healthcare and childcare flexible spending accounts

Cons

Don't feel management recognizes the talent and potential in some of their employees. Management needs to give these people the tools/training they need to help them succeed or advance, or they are going to lose those good employees. Also, if you work at big Duke, parking is an issue and you have to pay for parking in the parking deck.
