Pros

Duke has excellent benefits and the people who work here are very nice and very professional! Looks good to have Duke University on your resume.

Cons

The paid leaves a little bit to be desired. I wouldn't come here looking to make big money. Promotions are hard to come by in the research labs. They hardly ever promote people.

Pros

High reputation will give you great exit opportunities if you decide to leave. Otherwise, Duke is a prestigious place to grow within. As a student working part time, I have seen the positive effect of having Duke on your CV.

Cons

Navigating the bureaucracy like any major system.

Pros

It's a job, the co-workers are helpful to new employees. Benefits are good.

Cons

Takes a long time to get hired if you don't know anybody. Some of the leaders have no management experience.
