No Leadership

Business Outlook

Pros

If you like to disappear into a crowd and never accept accountability for anything, this may be the place for you. Salary is ok, however work expectations are very high, whether they are in your job description or not. Your part of Duke Health System and relatively secure in your position. Benefits decreasing over the years and are not as robust as they once were. Its still a monthly check.

Cons

No leadership, benefits no longer competitive. Management makes commitments they cannot and do not keep. Promises, promises, promises.

Pros

Duke is a great hospital for new grad RNs. They will find a spot for you if you hiring unit doesn't work out for you. Great preceptors, great resources and the chance to work with amazing doctors, nurses and interdisciplinary teams.

Cons

The pay could be better.
