Pros
THE BEST staff you could ever work with. (RT, Nurses, NPs, Fellows, and Attendings) Autonomy is the best there is. It’s amazing to be able to have a real conversation with the team about what is best for the patient and be listened to in a true manner.
Cons
Management doesn’t care how hard you actually work, they only seem to care about numbers and having the least amount of RTs possible to complete the tasks. They would rather hire more expensive travel RTs than hire full time staff because of which budget they come out of. The full time employees are expected to pick up the slack even if there isn’t a safe amount of staff, and management will NOT step in to help. The educator literally doesn’t care about any of the current employees education, only onboarding new travelers and staff.
