Pros

- Best culture of any IT company out there - Very talented leadership staff - People truly care about each other and that starts from the top with Dug (CEO) - Incredible growth and products that customers actually love (they use the word “love” - it’s so strange) - Unlimited career and personal potential

Cons

Honestly none. Compared to other security companies - less than none.

Duo is a great place to work

Pros

Benefits, Culture, Vision, Transparency, Pay, Talent, and most importantly the constant desire to improve everything. I really enjoy working at Duo and would recommend it to a friend. Duo takes care of employees and helps them develop as professionals. The only place I've ever worked where the majority of employees are qualified for their jobs.

Cons

It's hard to say anything bad about Duo. As with any growing tech company there is constant process change, but sometimes the change feels like it's for the sake of change and not for strategic improvement in processes. My day to day process has changed on a biweekly basis, it's hard to know what is expected at times. Then when you get it, it changes again. If you don't embrace change, you may struggle here.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are proud of our team and company that continues to scale the culture in a thoughtful way with all the pros that you mentioned (transparency, qualified employees, benefits, etc). In regards to your feedback about internal promotions, we are trying to strike a balance that is hard to achieve but not impossible. I thought it may help to share insight on it here, but I’d also welcome a discussion in person. Here is how we think about growing our sales team: 1) Diversity is good: we want to bring new identities and perspectives into our sales team to help us continue to level up our strategies and tactics. 2) Promote from within when ready: We want to promote internal people when the manager knows the person can succeed. We want to set our employees up for success. 3) Healthy balance: strike a balance of internal promotions and outside hires to create a highly functioning team with the proper dynamics. We need to ensure we have the managers to properly onboard and train, and enough time for new hires to learn about our culture and how we operate within our values as a team. Balance is key to ensure all of our sales team is supported and always learning. There is never a perfect answer and every team is different with unique circumstances. Thank you so much for your thought on this topic. We will consider this feedback as we look at our career paths and hiring goals for 2018. I welcome anyone to reach out to myself and other leaders so we can continue to be thoughtful about our growth as there will be much more ahead of us. Thanks again and Happy Selling.

Love. How many people can say that about a company?

Pros

I fell in love with Duo the first day I met the team. We have two founders that lead with a people first attitude. We have an environment that embraces what makes us each unique, and supports our dreams. I've been invested in by my manager and other leadership since my first day at the company, and the People & Culture team just rolled out more training. I've had the opportunity to attend conferences, go to management training, and I have mentors. Pay and benefits also feel ahead of the curve, but I've never had to worry about it as I always feel it's fair and I'm taken care of. I hear my teammates say the same. We have free healthcare. Who else has that!?

Cons

We've had success faster than most companies and with that has came a surge of growth. I don't know every name anymore, but the company is still small enough to learn and big enough to have a lot of opportunity as new jobs open up.
