Pros

I appreciate the Work/Life Balance this Company offers, schedules are very stable and comfortable. We have managers who are great leaders and treat us with dignity and respect. We have great benefits including 5% match contribution on 401 K, and a decent amount of vacation.

Cons

We get 5 days paid leave a year, but it is required to schedule your sick time 24 hrs in advance, this time has to be approved by your manager. If we get up sick and call in, we are penalized, risking our job and risking our raise. There is no opportunity for getting sick the same day you call in. I never knew we could schedule getting sick. Policies really need an update. Providing a doctors note after calling in should be enough testimony that you did get sick and received medical help. But at this moment, bringing a doctors note doesn't excuse us from missing work unless we schedule our sick time. Never heard of this before. In other words, there's no chance for us to get sick, we should go to work, and spread whatever sickness even if this is contagious, and schedule your sick time. Manageable time is not sick time, we shouldn't be taking manageable time as sick time. Getting sick shouldn't be penalized especially if we talk about those 5 days the company provides, it's only 5 days a year, your production will be alright.

Pros

Most people here are friendly and willing to help you any way they can. Many opportunities for growth.

Cons

Employees feel undervalued and unappreciated. Communication is very poor. Upper management is more interested in assigning fault than solving problems which encourages employees to wrongly shift the blame to someone else. All of this has caused low morale.

Difficult and Autocratic Employer

Pros

Good retirement benefits, will spend on benefits. Easy to transfer between divisions. Consistently profitable.

Cons

Excess money hides bloated and stagnant leadership team. Overly cognizant of outward appearance and allows poor management over good leadership to avoid negative public perception. Leaders appear at field offices in a mob leader fashion rewarding compliant followers and “eliminating” any dissenters. Millions are spent in satisfying whims, policies are minimal to support demagoguery and decisions are only made from the top. Finance runs the operation and people are not important. Don’t think you will have a voice. All of this is rationalized with” it has worked for us thus far. “ Morale at Dynacraft is very poor and managers are fearful of making decisions. You will hear it is “interesting “ and “different” all the time because very little makes sense and people don’t what else to say.
