      Awesome people work here, company has work to do

      Pros

      E Source has really awesome, and passionate employees who care about the mission of the company, and are pleasures to work with. The company also offers a lot of flexibility in terms of work-life balance and remote work.

      Cons

      Most of the negative reviews on here are accurate. E Source has an management class that spends the entire day in meetings amongst themselves that accomplish nothing. Most of the work is done by researchers who are making 20-50% below their market value. E Source does little to retain or foster talent, and the research department has seen a mass exodus for the past couple of months. With E Source's owners emphasis on growth, it seems unlikely that this will change.

      Flexible work from home policy.

      Cons

      No on-boarding, training, nor metrics for success. For a thirty year old company that works with a highly regulated industry, I expected structure and instead found the working environment of a dysfunctional startup. If you like to choose your own adventure, you may find success here. If you need clear expectations for your performance, look elsewhere.

      Manageable work-life balance; company culture is open

      Cons

      Leadership is not diverse. Underpaid and over-worked. Hiring has been top-heavy; lots of managers managing very little, while the lower-tier workers are slammed with constant project work.
